4 months!? 4 freaking months? We knew having a baby would shake things up, but damn, 4 months just flew by. I’m finally feeling like I can carve out some time in the day to draw and maintain some semblance of a creative practice. But that’s only after figuring out how babies work and, by extension, how to be a dad. And honestly, I’m still not sure I’m doing it right—but hey, the lil’ man is still alive, fed, and mostly content. At least until the witching hour, when the screams and cries for food pierce what would have otherwise been restful slumber. But I digress.
4 months is a long time for an unexpected hiatus, and I really appreciate everyone sticking with me. I’m especially grateful for the outpouring of support—from advice (solicited or not), to hand-me-downs, diapers, and formula (IT’S SO EXPENSIVE!!), to just checking in or offering a hand when things felt overwhelming. You all have been amazing.
Now that I’m finding a bit of balance, I’m excited to say that comic updates should be coming soon. Thanks again for being awesome. I can’t wait to get back to sharing DIS with you all!
Is that how bears react when waking up from hibernation?
